Technical workshop was held with the participation of representatives of itwh, TU Dresden and R&D Engineering for discussion of the planned practical works on the campus of NU. According to the project plans, the pilot study area will be built for monitoring the surface and subsurface conditions with the help of installed monitoring sensors. The test field is planned to support the acquisition of geophysical and technical data for the development of the virtual model and of the problem statement with regards to local hydrogeological characteristics. On the pilot site small-scale Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS) will be built. These facilities can be used for assessing the infiltration capacities of soil layer during real rainfall events as well as hypothetical events. They can also be used for teaching purposes by explaining hydrological processes for students of local Universities. The participants have discussed different options and assessed challenges related to each one. After consideration of current limitations, participants agreed on the next steps and plan to start the work in Spring-Summer 2022.
